Professional Bio.
Princess Gabor holds a Doctorate Degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from Governors State University. She is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with extensive clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in individual, family, and couples therapy. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Therapist with significant experience and training working with trauma and PTSD. In addition, she has a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling form Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. She is certified in trauma therapy and anxiety treatment with youth and adults, as well as other presenting concerns including depression, OCD, behavior issues, personality disorders, cognitive delays, parenting and family dynamics . She has worked with culturally diverse populations using evidence-based approaches selected for each individual’s treatment plan, such as cognitive and exposure therapy, as well as music, art, movies, role-play and experiential therapy.
She has worked in residential, hospitals, private practice, and in-house counseling. She facilitated group and individual supervision, parenting education, couples, groups, family, and substance use therapy. Princess has taught counseling courses as well as developed curriculum.
She has an integrated style of counseling which allows her to help clients receive individualized treatment. Using this approach accommodates each client’s learning style and perceptions as they go through their process at their own capacity. She believes that everything that happens in life is there for a purpose which should not be thought of as a mistake, but rather an experience that will bring wisdom, strength, and growth as an individual.
