We use behavioral management systems to help parents reach their parenting goals.

These parent coaching programs are based on strong psychological principles and are widely accepted as effective programs to help parents.

  • This is a structured, effective, and widely used program that helps parents of young children to:

    • Control problematic behaviors

    • Encourage good behaviors

    • Strengthen the parent-child relationship

The structure is made up of:

    • Clear and manageable tasks for you and your child

    • Start and stop behaviors for your child

    • The little adult assumption

    • Types of testing and manipulation most children attempt

    • Major discipline mistakes

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques are used to provide a direct and skills-based approach to parent coaching. This approach combines information, specific skills, and a non-judgmental approach that encourages hope and a closer relationships with children and teens.

    Basic DBT modules include:

    • Mindfulness

    • Interpersonal Effectiveness

    • Emotion Regulation

    • Distress Tolerance

    This model helps parents to:

    • Understand and respond to children's emotions and behaviors

    • Increase acceptance and improve interactions

    • Understand the story of emotion and what makes a particular child vulnerable to intense emotions

    • Identify and respond to your child's triggers and beliefs that contribute to their emotional responses

    • Observe and accept how intense and negative emotions affect the child's body and how these emotions result in problematic behaviors

    • Help children feel more in control and better about themselves

    • Shape the child's behavior and facilitate constructive activities

    • Use punishment minimally, but effectively

    • Use contracts and reinforcement to maintain limits and expectations
