FREE Group Therapy
- A safe environment to therapeutically process and cope with trauma -
In light of the recent tragedy in Highland Park, we are here to support any teens, adults, and family members that are directly or indirectly impacted by this horrific event.
To lighten the burden during this difficult time and increase access to the necessary help that so many people need after this traumatic event, we are offering FREE group therapy to those who don’t want to be alone, share their experiences with others who were also impacted, and process in a healthy way to increase successful coping after a trauma.
Our child and adult therapists facilitate these groups for teens (12 -17 years of age) and adults (18 years +), both in-person and virtually. These therapists are trained and certified in treating trauma and grief/loss.
We are members of this community and mental health professionals that are here to support you if you need us.
Anxiety & Social Isolation
During Distancing
Adult Telehealth Group
Mondays & Thursdays at 6:00pm
- HIPAA complaint virtual group to keep you socially connected and manage your fears from a safe distance -
You may be lonely because you feel disconnected from people and lack meaningful, supportive relationships during times of crisis and social distancing. Extended physical or emotional disconnect can lead to increased feelings of sadness and rejection, which can stop you from reaching out to others. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution to the problem of loneliness; however we invite you to participate in group therapy if you feel that you cannot tackle the isolation and loneliness on our own. Take the step to improve your mental health by getting connected from the privacy of your own home and safety of a virtual meeting!
Dr. Anna Basov, Pys.D. and Eliza Marotte, LCPC co-lead this group to provide you with the human connection and interaction that you have been missing due to the current pandemic. We will help you manage your anxiety, cope with your fears, and decrease isolation. Learn from others going through the same thing and from our highly trained therapists leading the session. This therapy group is different from social media groups that may provide some social support, but often only increase anxiety and fears due to the style of communication and unchallenged fears and hysteria that goes around. Connect with others seeking the same thing that you are: support, human-connection, information, and decreased anxiety during times of social distancing.
